Faced with the unique challenge of completing facility upgrades that maintain the look of the house but are also durable enough to hold up to the unusual use of the house the Alumni Board settled on porcelain tile to replace the heavily damaged hardwood floors throughout the 1st level of the house.

On the Gayley facing balcony, the Saltillo tile was replaced with more durable porcelain tile. An epoxy grout that never has to be sealed was used to maintain its look and facilitate easier maintenance.

The library also required significant repairs following damage from 2017’s heavy rains. The retaining wall, interior library walls were reinforced and new furniture was installed.

Room 1’s bathroom also received a complete update.
