Sigma Nu Honors

Captain Coffee giving a speech
A $10,000 merit-based scholarship from the Sigma Nu Alumni Scholarship Fund is to be named in honor of Gerald L. Coffee, who has led an extraordinary life of service and whose bravery during 7 years of imprisonment during the Vietnam War earned him a “Silver Star” medal.

On Friday, November 16th we honor retired US Navy Captain Gerald Coffee (EP 468) and and the recipient of the first Gerald L. Coffee Scholarship award which carries a $10,000 tuition grant to UCLA. We request that you join us and bring a guest as we recognize the impressive achievements of both Captain Coffee and the active chapter’s scholarship winners.

We ask that guests wear coats and arrive by 6:30pm when the awards program will begin. Captain Coffee will be traveling across the country to join us for the dinner and in addition to being a guest of the Alumni Board at the next day’s UCLA vs USC football game he will be spending 3 nights in the Luskin hotel on campus.

From the current crop of pledge candidates to the nearly 100 active brothers, our fraternity has never been stronger and we hope you will attend this significant event to witness our strength first hand.

Tickets to the Sigma Nu Honors catered dinner are available on our website here.
